The 2011 Roxbury Marathon will be held on December 10, 2011 at 8:30 AM. An entry fee of $10 per entrant will be collected on Race Morning from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM. The 2011 course has been USATF certified (CT 10033JHP). Note that the course is slightly different than the 2010 course, in that the course crosses over the bridge on Judds Bridge Road near the 4 mile mark, just before the Turn-around.
The Crowne Plaza in Southbury is offering a rate of $99 per room, plus taxes, for the Roxbury Marathon. Runners should call (203) 598-7600 for reservations.
The Heritage Hotel in Southbury is offering a special rate for the Roxbury Marathon runners. They can call the reservation number: 203-264-8200, participants should state that they are participating in the Roxbury Marathon.
Due to limited space and resources, we are limiting the number of runners in the marathon to 100. To this end, we are employing pre-registration. (You don't pay the entry fee now - you will still pay the entry fee on Race Day prior to the race.) If the race fills up, we will keep a waiting list. So please let us know if you have registered but find that you won't be coming to the race.
