Before we talk racing, if you aren't running the Roxbury Half Marathon on November 12, please consider volunteering. (Here's a hint, if you don't have a spot already, you aren't running.) We need people to help with runner registration, water stops, and course marshals. Please sign up on either our FB page or talk with Mary.
Now, for the running. While it initially seemed really cold, it proved an ideal day for running the 3.52 mile Hemlock course. Down, of course. Stosh Davis captured laurels in 20:51 while Baerbel LoSacco clinched the womens' side in 25:10.
Pre-dog bite Chris seems back to pre-marathon form, though we're not certain the dog wasn't a paid agent of some other competitive runners. Jeff? Eric? Good to see Team Adomelis back in Roxbury, obviously challenging the LoSaccos and McCulloughs for World Domination. Hear that? WORLD DOMINATION. Welcome back to Scott and Eunice and their 33% larger brood, Madelyn and Noelle. Madelyn helped mom across the finish line and broke the cuteness barrier in the process. Could world domination be far behind? A special shout-out to Teresa Fewel, who ran her first Roxbury Race. "You guys have totally motivated me to get my butt back in shape," she says.
Congratulations to Jeff Bishop on his Hartford Half Marathon. Best of luck to our posse headed for the Marine Corps Marathon this weekend. For everyone else, we rally for the 3.95 mile Jeep Trail. See you there!
